Project 2: Bamboo Farming for Carbon Sequestration

- The Problem: Decades of agricultural pressures and industrial shifts have left critical tracts of African soil severely degraded, stripping them of biological value and natural carbon retention.
- The Impact: This project leverages fast-growing, non-invasive bamboo species as high-velocity, biological carbon sinks. Bamboo sequesters carbon at a rate significantly faster than typical hardwood forests while rapidly rebuilding topsoil and restoring degraded lands. Beyond carbon capture, the project establishes a localized circular economy, supplying communities with sustainable raw materials for eco-friendly manufacturing and eco-fuel.
